Yes, it’s true. Summer is almost over.

While we will miss everything that summer is, autumn brings us new episodes of The Walking Dead and also a great beginning to the holiday season: Halloween. Being scared, grossed-out, and turning our houses haunted appeals to our most uncomfortable visceral and emotional feelings. Yet, we love it.

According to a 2014 Statista survey which asked aged 18 and older individuals in the United States if they planned to celebrate Halloween or participate in Halloween activities that year, almost 67% said yes, which isn’t even including trick-or-treaters (unless you’re trick-or-treating beyond the recommended age limit). So whether it’s a stroll through a haunted cornfield or a ghoulish party with your friends, a lot of adults in the United States love to celebrate All Hallows’ Eve!

Shatner Bobbleheads

Are you a Shatner fan? Or for that matter, a Shatner Star Trek fan? Because at San Diego’s Comic Con this year, William Shatner bobbleheads will be released!

One being his legendary character from Star Trek and another from his stint in an episode of the Twilight Zone. Pretty cool if you ask me…but it gets better! There will be two lunchboxes, yes lunchboxes, made of metal and all. The lunchboxes look just like a good old television set complete with a scene from both shows Shatner starred in. While the lunchboxes are very cool, we do not think they are near as cool as the bobbleheads of William Shatner! Anybody have an extra ticket to San Diego!?

Remember you don’t have to get custom bobbleheads done of yourself or someone you know. You can submit a pic of whoever you want and we will work to make you a bobblehead in the likeness of the picture you submit.

We have even done bobbleheads during the election for Obama and Romeny and used them as part of our contest we ran ‘Vote for the Next President of Bobbletown’. Here is a pic of those dolls:

20th Anniversary Rockies Bobbleheads!

In order to celebrate their 20th anniversary as a Major League Baseball team, the Colorado Rockies will be distributing 10 bobbleheads of their greatest players, as voted by their fans.  The catch is, only nine will be given out at games, the tenth you will have to purchase in their stores. This can be good or bad; if you like baseball, getting to 9 games shouldn’t be hard but you have to purchase Carlos Gonzalez, the tenth bobblehead. Or if it is tough to get to games, you can purchase only one…the other nine, well, will be difficult to get.

Muscle Up! Albert Belle Bobblehead Released

Who remembers when then Cleveland Indians Albert Belle flexed his bicep in response to Kevin Kennedy (then Boston Red Sox manager) after he instructed the umpire to take his bat because Kennedy believed it to be corked after he hit a ball crushing homer? Well we are going back, to the 1995 playoffs to be exact, but the Cleveland Indians are immortalizing this moment in time with a bobblehead of Albert Belle flexing his bicep!

Now what is interesting about this giveaway is that Albert Belle has not been back to visit the Cleveland Indians since he became a free agent and signed a $55 million contract with the White Sox. He is also, by some accounts, one of the most controversial players in franchise history. So the fact that the Clevelan Indians will immortalize him in some way is  questionable, however there is no denying the impact he had on the team in both performance as well as exposure on the news. He certainly was a catalyst in helping to spur popularity back to the Indians club. Or maybe it has to do with the sadness Albert has experienced in the past months. His twin brother, Terry, was killed in a car accident in AZ in September. Nobody wants to see this happen, and maybe since he was such a pivotal part of the club at one point, this caused the Indians to step back and recognize that they should immortalize him in some way. But I digress…

The bobblehead giveaway is happening Sat, Jun 1 at 1:05PM at Progressive Field. It is limited to the first 10,000 fans so show up early! This is almost as cool at the Trout grab bobblehead we posted about earlier!

With the first papal resignation in 600 years,  bobbleheads of Pope Benedict are appearing for sale in Vatican City. According to this article, Rome souvenir vendors are carrying bobbleheads of the former pope.

Now this may offend some and others may be apt to purchase, but really why not? The pope is a figure head for a very large organization; some followers may rather a bobblehead versus a portrait.

If the pope wanted a custom bobblehead from us, we would be ecstatic!  Maybe the next pope might want to seek us out…

Unusual and Unique Wedding Cake Toppers
